Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Back of House Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure exceptional food quality and service standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, culinary cooking and restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced environment. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, cooking, managing food safety protocols, inventory control, and maintaining efficient workflow within a casual or fine dining setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including training, development, and performance management to foster a cohesive team environment.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with health department guidelines.
- Coordinate shift management, ensuring smooth operations during busy hours while maintaining efficiency and quality.
- Assist with food production for catering, banquets, or special events as needed.
- Support restaurant management in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
- Supervise kitchen safety procedures and enforce proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless customer service experiences.
Experience
- Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments.
- Extensive background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
- Prior supervisory experience in hospitality or restaurant management roles is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems such asToast POS and Micros POS is preferred.
- Experience with inventory control, food safety standards, and budgeting within the food industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively.
- Background in fine dining or hotel food service environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service. Pay: $25.10 - $30.23 per hour
