Role Description

The Certified Medical Assistant position will be the perfect fit for a medical assistant who is friendly, compassionate, responsible, charismatic, and reliable. The ideal candidate will be articulate, organized, and detail oriented. He/she/they will have a pleasant manner, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong desire to become part of an amazing team of other healthcare professionals whose daily goal is to deliver high-quality, compassionate customer service and care.

Core Responsibilities

Meet, greet, and assist patients promptly, efficiently, and in a professionally pleasant and friendly manner
Comfort, care and celebrate patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, and empathizing with their fears, pain, joys and accomplishments
Compassionately administer injections, perform EKG's, and audiograms. Accurately set up room for patient exams and procedures. Kindly and efficiently render any other therapeutic treatment as instructed by the provider.
· Gently, kindly, and accurately schedule appointments for patients with this office and for routine and diagnostic testing, or with specialty providers as needed/directed by the provider.
Answer and screen/triage patient phone calls and walk-ins, greet patients in a professional and timely manner; project proper professional verbal and written communication, all while showing patience and understanding.
Accurately and completely document patient data in the patient's electronic medical record promptly and efficiently.
Room patients, obtain vital signs, triage and prepare patients for the provider to facilitate smooth, timely flow through the office. Anticipate the needs of the patient and provider and kindly assist patients and providers in medical examinations.
Communicate enthusiastically and effectively with insurance companies. Verify patients’ insurance and obtain the proper prior authorization/referral as needed.
Schedule and reschedule appointments, as well as coordinate walk-in patients in a gentle and kind manner
Answer phone calls and LiveChats promptly and relay messages, when necessary, with a professional, happy tone
Contribute to the team with other duties as necessary

Qualifications

1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience, preferred
High school diploma or equivalent, required
Associate degree, or trade school training preferred
Medical Assistant Certifications, preferred
