Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the concrete and construction process, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to move materials throughout the yard
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying that all incoming and outgoing shipments are correct.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution with a strong understanding of materials handling processes.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and order pickers.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and orders.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Experience in shipping & receiving procedures along with order picking techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards related to construction operations is preferred.
