Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS systems, ensuring clear communication of special requests or dietary needs
- Recommend menu items and upsell specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate bookings and optimize seating arrangements
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or upscale establishments
- Strong knowledge of Toast POS systems ; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing time during busy service hours
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience in a nightclub or similar lively venue is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and bill splitting; attention to detail is essential
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial but is not required; enthusiasm for learning about food preparation is appreciated
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment

Pay: $24.09 - $29.01 per hour
