Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment to support food service operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with experience or interest in culinary activities. Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assist with food deliveries
- Support food service operations by bussing tables and clearing dining areas promptly
- Help with catering and banquet setups, including arranging tables, linens, and serving ware
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, work surfaces, and storage areas throughout shifts
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety compliance
- Assist in the overall organization of the kitchen to promote efficiency during busy service times
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of cleaning protocols and food handling safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as required for cleaning supplies and dishware handling
