General Contractor and Service Company, Hope Builders, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is looking to hire a full-time Facility Service Electrician. Hope Builders serves primarily national restaurant chains in Maryland, DC, and Virginia.

Job Duties:
· Strong ability to troubleshoot and install controls for electrical systems.
· Install, modify, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Test electrical panels, circuits, systems, fixtures, controls and equipment.
- Inspect and repair lighting & power systems, electrical controls and energy mgmt. systems, etc.
- Work from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, manuals, etc.
- Trace hard-to-locate problems associated with the completion of repairs and installations.
- Install wiring, couplings, conduit, relays, fixtures, transformers and other electrical devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs as prescribed.
- Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen hood controls is a plus.
- Purchase materials and supplies as required for timely work completion.
- Accurately document work performed on work orders or field reports.
- Respond to on-call service requests as part of a scheduled rotation during various evenings and weekends.
- Maintain well-stocked inventory on truck, keep truck clean and organized.
- Maintain other equipment and tools.

Ideal Qualifications:
- High school degree
- Licensed Journeyman
- 5 plus years as a Commercial Service Electrician
