We are seeking energetic and dependable OTR (Over-the-Road) Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team. Duties
- Safely operate Hot Shots and box trucks
- Load and unload freight efficiently and securely, ensuring proper handling of various cargo types including heavy equipment, or bulk materials.
- Execute route driving assignments with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to maximize efficiency.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies while maintaining a professional attitude on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across long distances.
- Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation tools for efficient delivery scheduling.
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures for different cargo types and securement techniques.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
