Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Breakfast Cook at a bed and breakfast. Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to standardized recipes, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Assist in menu planning with seasonal specials
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients with precision
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, grills, fryers, and ovens
- Ensure timely delivery of breakfast dishes to buffet
- Support catering functions or special events with breakfast offerings when needed
- Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive work environment focused on teamwork and customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience working or love of food/ cooking with good time management and ability to shift to high gear when needed
- Strong food handling skills with knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Familiarity with food industry standards related to kitchen operations, including knife skills and food prep procedures
- Background in catering or food service environments that require quick thinking and multitasking skills
- Prior kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in cooking techniques relevant to breakfast dishes
