Shipgarten is a biergarten located in the heart of Tysons, Virginia. Our 35,000 square foot venue includes 5 bars and 2 food concepts, with a focus on fast and friendly service. We are looking to hire anyone who has previous bartending experience and is comfortable opening and closing the restaurant. Communication skills and the ability to work well with others are a must. We provide training for all positions and ensure everyone receives the proper tools and support for success. Our management team will provide support whenever needed/requested and will work to maximize your sales and tips. Shipgarten has already accumulated a great crowd of regulars who take care of our staff. We hold events daily events like trivia, festivals, yappy hours, sip and paints, craft beer tastings, free UFC screenings, and more.
Qualified candidates should have at least 1 year of bartending experience. Management experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Operating our point of sale system (POS) to take orders, specifically"Toast"
- Providing quality customer service
- Maintaining a clean restaurant, from wiping down tables to sweeping floors
Requirements:
- Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude in a high energy and sometimes stressful environment
- Reliable transportation to and from establishment. We are a 5 minute walk from the Mclean Metro stop.
About Us:
Creative Bar Concepts, LLC, is a hospitality group previously owned by Tysons Biergarten. CBC currently operates Hops N Shine (Alexandria, VA) and just recently opened Shipgarten (Tysons, VA) which is made up of four unique restaurant/bar concepts. We run a very busy schedule of events focused around our community, charitable organizations, private parties, and festivals.
Compensation:
$2.13/hour + Tips
- Top Bartenders earn $1000+/week
- Beer/wine/cocktail knowledge are a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong task and time management abilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, clean, etc for extended periods
- Strong bartending skills and the ability to operate on your own if needed
- Bonus if you have worked in or know the Tysons/McLean/Vienna community
- Must be able to work on weekends and holidays
