Job Summary
Line Cook and Expeditor in a busy, multidimesional brew pub. We are a chef driven restaurant in the Hyattsville Arts District. Menu changes and specials are frequent. The ability to hold down a station and adfapt to new menu items a must. Familiarity with Toast or like system a plus, as is being bilingual.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble menu items efficiently while adhering to quality standards and presentation guidelines
- Expedite orders from the kitchen, ensuring timely delivery to tables and maintaining smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate orders and resolve issues promptly
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Professional cooking experience required, though training is part of the process.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
- Spanish and English necissary as expeditor.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and serve guests professionally
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- A positive attitude with a passion for hospitality and delivering excellent customer service
Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
