Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate various routes effectively. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Operate a box truck or van for the delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Perform route driving while adhering to scheduled timelines.
- Load and unload products using a pallet jack or other equipment as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly during transport to prevent damage.
- Work various warehouse duties such as packing orders, cycle counting, keeping warehouse organized and clean.
Skills
- Proven experience in moving, driving, or commercial driving roles.
- Familiarity with route driving practices and navigation systems.
- Ability to operate a box truck or van, including manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
