Position Summary: We are looking for a highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations in a HIGH-VOLUME moving and storage environment. This role is focused on freight tracking, warehouse organization, inventory control, managing warehouse staff, and keeping operations moving efficiently in a tight-space environment.
This is a hands-on operational role. We are not looking for someone focused on KPIs, analytics, or office-based scheduling. We need someone who can manage the warehouse floor, keep staff on task, maintain organization, and ensure freight is properly tracked and handled.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, staging, loading/unloading, and freight tracking
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory within a high-volume warehouse
- Lead and manage warehouse staff to ensure productivity and accountability
- Navigate and optimize limited warehouse space efficiently and safely
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight flow
- Ensure customer goods are stored securely and handled properly
- Enforce warehouse safety procedures and maintain clean work areas
- Monitor warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Assist with damage investigations and operational problem-solving
- Supervise warehouse operations: receiving, inventory, storage, packing, staging, loading/unloading, and shipping.
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate warehouse team (warehouse associates, packers, drivers as applicable).
- Maintain accurate inventory records; perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure secure, organized storage and proper handling of customer goods, including specialty items.
- Enforce safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures.
- Coordinate with dispatch, movers, sales, and customer service to meet move schedules and customer expectations.
- Monitor warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink-wrap machines); coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Optimize space utilization, layout, and workflow to improve efficiency and reduce damage/loss.
- Manage packing supplies, ordering, and cost control.
- Prepare daily/weekly operational reports and assist in budgeting and KPI tracking (inventory accuracy, on-time moves, damage rates, labor productivity).

- 3+ years warehouse supervisory or managerial experience; experience in moving, storage.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Working knowledge of inventory management systems / WMS; comfortable with basic computer tasks (MS Office).
- Familiarity with moving and storage best practices and household goods handling.
- Forklift certification and experience required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to lift/move up to 75lbs and work a flexible schedule (occasional evenings/weekends as needed).
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving record preferred.
Preferred
- Experience with claims handling and quality-control processes.
- Knowledge of local/state storage regulations.
- Bilingual skills a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
