Staging & Warehouse Operations Assistant (Part-Time, Physical Role)
Sterling, VA
We’re a small, award-winning home staging company working in the luxury real estate market—and we’re looking for someone who enjoys hands-on, active work and being part of transforming beautiful spaces.
This is not a decorating-only role. It’s a mix of warehouse coordination and on-site staging support, including lifting, organizing, and working on your feet throughout the day.
What makes this a great fit:
- Flexible, part-time schedule (varies week to week)
- Active, physical work (no desk job)
- Small, collaborative team
- Opportunity to be part of high-end staging projects
What to expect:
- Early start times (as early as 7:30am)
- Some longer days depending on staging schedule
- Independent work in the warehouse + team-based project days
If you’re reliable, adaptable, enjoy staying organized, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great fit.
* Please read the full job description before applying. Because this position combines independent warehouse work and physical staging work, we encourage applicants to read the job description carefully before applying. About Us:
We’re Preferred Staging, a nationally recognized, award-winning home staging company, specializing in creating stunning spaces for the luxury real estate market. We help homes sell quickly and for top dollar through beautiful and strategic staging across the Washington DC metro area.
Position Overview:
As our Warehouse & Staging Operations Assistant, you’ll be part of a small, tight-knit team that’s passionate about making homes look amazing. This is a hands-on, active role that combines warehouse coordination with staging support.
No two days are exactly alike. You’ll be involved in both the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our warehouse running smoothly and the on-site work that brings homes to life.
A large portion of this role involves working independently in the warehouse. Success in this position requires someone who enjoys staying organized, notices details, uses established systems and procedures, and is comfortable managing multiple ongoing responsibilities without constant direction. You’ll be expected to think ahead, prioritize your work, and recognize when something needs attention and take initiative.
You’ll oversee professional movers, assist with stagings and destagings, and play a key role in making sure our team has the inventory, supplies, and support they need to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
On-the-job training is provided, and the position includes a 60-day probationary period to assess performance and fit within the company.
