Overview
Mennella’s DC LLC is seeking a dependable CDL-A driver to transport refrigerated food products from processing plants to our distribution facility.
This position offers consistent work, competitive hourly pay, overtime when applicable, and daily home time.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer
- Pick up refrigerated products from designated processing plants
- Deliver products to our distribution facility on schedule
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate ELD and hours-of-service records
- Monitor and document refrigerated trailer temperatures
- Complete bills of lading and other required paperwork
- Inspect the tractor, trailer, reefer unit, seals, and load condition
- Report equipment, safety, temperature, or delivery problems immediately
- Maintain a clean tractor cab and properly care for assigned equipment
- Follow DOT, FMCSA, food-safety, sanitation, and company procedures
- Communicate professionally with plant personnel, warehouse employees, and management
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Current DOT medical certificate
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass DOT-required drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to meet FMCSA driver-qualification requirements
- Tractor-trailer driving experience
- Working knowledge of ELDs and hours-of-service requirements
- Dependable attendance and professional communication
- Refrigerated transportation experience preferred
