The job is in support of a Federal Agency located in downtown Washington DC. It requires onsite presence and government security clearance. If selected, the individual shall not be engaged in other outside work.
a. The focus of this position is property management for a federal client. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
(1) Plans, initiates, executes, and oversees moves within the agency. Maintains records and logs of moves and modifications required in work areas. Assists with preparing cost estimates and budget tracking as it relates to moving services for the agency.
(2) Prepares work orders, statements of work, or other documents to obtain materials, skilled labor, equipment, and funding to accomplish work that involves various skilled trades and a variety of tools, materials, and/or equipment for property management requirements, such as shredding services, moving and storage services, and other similar logistic requirements.
3) Has full oversight over performance of agency contracts for logistic services such as moving/storage and shredding services including:
- Maintaining records and logs of property in storage, location of storage, costs associated with storage, and researching new storage space locations;
- Scheduling, estimating costs, and managing on-site performance of moving
services; and
- Inspecting work performed by contractors for various logistic services (such as moving, storage, and shredding services); and
- Reviewing invoices for logistic services performed by various contractors.
(4) Assists with physical inventories of the agency equipment and disposition of excess agency property.
b. Qualifications.
(1) A minimum of two years of experience performing logistic type services. Any resume submission shall identify the specific logistic services performed, specific duties performed, and dates performed.
(2) Proficient at Microsoft Office software and use of personal computers.
(3) Physical Requirements. Position requires walking for extended periods of time of time at multiple agency locations with multiples floors at each location. Periodic bending and lifting of some items (50lbs or less) is occasionally required.
