General Manager – Café / Gelato Shop

Job Summary

Pitango Gelato is hiring General Managers for two locations — Reston Town Center (VA) and 14th Street (Washington, DC).

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can run day-to-day operations, lead a team, and deliver strong hospitality in a fast-paced café environment. We are looking for operators who take ownership, solve problems, and hold high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the café
Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team
Deliver excellent guest experience and hospitality
Manage labor, scheduling, and staffing
Control COGS and ordering
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and product quality standards
Troubleshoot POS, equipment, and day-to-day issues

Qualifications

2+ years of management experience in food service or hospitality
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Organized, accountable, and solution-oriented
Weekend and evening availability required

Compensation & Benefits

$50,000 – $60,000 salary (based on experience)
