We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Culinary Operations & Partnerships Manager to lead Flavors’ culinary and operational initiatives, support chef members in growing their businesses, and drive strategic revenue growth. This leadership role blends operational management, culinary innovation, member mentorship, and partnership development to ensure Flavors delivers exceptional value to its members and the community.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee the daily operations of Flavors, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, inventory, and compliance to maintain a high standard of operational functionality.
- Ensure all culinary offerings, including non-alcoholic bar services, align with Flavors’ commitment to quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
- Implement operational improvements to enhance scalability and productivity.
Chef Member Business Growth:
- Mentor culinary hub members on food costing, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct on-site onboarding for new members, familiarizing them with facilities and operational protocols.
- Offer one-on-one guidance and workshops to help members scale their businesses, optimize profitability, and navigate challenges.
- Act as a strategic advisor to members, fostering their growth and success within the Flavors ecosystem.
Culinary Innovation:
- Develop seasonal menus, specialty products, and innovative offerings for Flavors Marketplace and The Dining Room.
- Collaborate with members to introduce unique culinary concepts and optimize product lines.
- Oversee non-alcoholic bar services, including wellness-focused beverages, mocktails, and seasonal drinks.
Strategic Partnerships & Revenue Growth:
- Collaborate with the Business Development Consultant to identify, develop, and maintain partnerships with corporate clients, government agencies, and local businesses.
- Represent Flavors at key community and industry events to expand visibility and grow the brand.
- Align operational strategies with revenue goals, ensuring seamless integration of new partnerships into Flavors’ offerings.
Team Development & Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that supports the success of both team members and culinary hub members.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Flavors offers reimbursement for the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) certification within the first year of successful employment.
Experience
- Candidate MUST have impeccable writing and communication skills. This includes a great eye for proper grammar use, spelling, and formatting in professional communications.
- Proven leadership experience in culinary operations, business mentorship, and partnership development within the food, beverage, or hospitality industry.
- Strong culinary background with experience in menu development, food costing, and guest experience enhancement.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency, revenue growth, and member satisfaction.

Schedule & Working Conditions
- Location: On-site at Flavors in Hyattsville, MD, with off-site activities for events and partnerships as required
- Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility to work evenings, holidays, or weekends as needed for events or strategic initiatives.
