Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a keen attention to detail. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring that all food safety and culinary standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome members/guests in a friendly manner, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's point-of-sale system (OpenTable experience is a plus).
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring that all orders are correct and meet quality standards.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, providing recommendations as needed.
- Process cash handling transactions accurately, including handling payments and providing change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the service process.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any issues that may arise during service.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for members/guests.
- Cash handling experience with basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards is essential.
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting, particularly in fine dining, is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being able to handle tasks independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and staff effectively.
