Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely service.
- Assist in menu planning for catering events or special occasions, providing innovative dessert options.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Utilize proper knife skills for ingredient preparation while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests during catering events or restaurant service.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with various baking techniques and pastry decoration methods.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
