Description:
Duties:
- Must be able to provide virtual sessions in a secure location consistent with HIPAA standards (i.e. home office, separate room in home, or lives alone)
- attend weekly individual supervision meetings
- attend bi-weekly group supervision meetings
- Create treatment plans specific to the client’s goals, strengths, needs, abilities and preferences
- Complete all documentation within 48 hours of a completed session
- Providing individual, family or group therapy interventions that take into account the client’s strengths, needs, abilities and preferences
- Providing crisis intervention and assessing risk factors of harm to self or others
- Referring to alternative or supportive services based on the client’s needs
- Providing timely electronic clinical documentation
- Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Attend mandatory staff meetings
- Complete relevant trainings, when tasked, to support business needs, and or compliance with state, local and federal laws and regulations.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must work either 2 evenings or 1 evening and 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) weekly
- Must meet weekly productivity standards
Requirements:
Education:
- Master’s Degree, or higher advanced degree in a discipline related to mental health.
- Licensure requirement: LGPC, LMSW in DC, Maryland, or Virginia; willing to apply for reciprocity within the other jurisdictions preferred
Knowledge skills and abilities:
- Ability to read, write and speak or communicate in English to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position.
- Exhibits professionalism, reliability, courtesy, and excellent customer service, while interacting with patients, guests and co-workers.
- Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Complies with the state laws for reporting abuse/neglect for children and adults.
- Experience providing professional counseling services to include providing diagnosis, use of multiple therapeutic interventions and approaches, and experience developing treatment plans, preferred.
- Experience completing psychosocial assessments, conducting various assessments, and entering timely progress notes.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks independently, and work collaboratively on group projects.
- Demonstrated basic math skills/Data entry and computer skills
- Experience with electronic medical record maintenance; HIPAA/Privacy Act Compliance a preferred.
- Able to pass a mandatory Criminal Background Check (FBI and state) due to the sensitive nature of the position.
- Able to pass mandatory Child Abuse Background/Sexual Registry Checks.
- Able to obtain/maintain Malpractice Insurance preferred
