Responsibilities

Perform venipunctures and capillary draws for blood sampling in accordance with established protocols.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of specimens collected.
Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
Maintain knowledge of laboratory procedures to assist in specimen handling and processing.
Monitor and record vital signs as necessary during patient interactions.
Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during the blood draw process.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication regarding patient needs and specimen requirements.
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines related to phlebotomy practices.
Accurately document collection and patient details in our EMR
Support front and back office staff with light administrative tasks
Treat patients with compassion, patience, and professionalism
Bilingual (Spanish/English speaker preferred)

Experience
Candidates should have a solid foundation in the following areas:

Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
Aseptic technique for safe specimen collection.
Anatomy knowledge relevant to venipuncture sites.
Understanding of laboratory procedures associated with specimen processing.
Physiology knowledge to comprehend patient responses during blood draws.
Proficiency in blood sampling techniques, including phlebotomizing patients effectively.
Experience in providing patient care and service, ensuring a positive experience for individuals undergoing procedures.
Excellent interpersonal communication and bedside manner
