ASSYST is seeking a skilled Junior Linux Technician for our headquarters in Sterling, VA.

Job Type: Full Time/Permanent
Job Location: Sterling, Virginia (Onsite)

Responsibilities:

Manages Linux PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
Provides basic helpdesk support of Linux based computer accounts, access cards, software upgrades.
Assists with daily backup and infrastructure tasks.
Assists with managing network printers and copiers.
Tracks and monitors computer inventory.
Documents internal procedures.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience working with Linux operating systems.
Good knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Hardware experience is a plus!
Willingness to learn and be mentored by technical leads.
US Citizenship is required; with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
