Job Summary
Class A driver for United States Postal Service starting at 3am-7am Monday-Sunday from Capital Height Maryland to a swap point to switch out trailers and head back to Maryland
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, including operating various types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. A strong focus on safety and customer service is essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks with manual transmission and various configurations, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers.
- Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Plan routes effectively for timely deliveries while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial driving.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of route driving and delivery driver responsibilities.
- Familiarity with operating different types of trucks such as dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklifts is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining logs and performing vehicle inspections.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.

Pay: $27.67 - $32.95 per hour
