Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Food Storeroom Attendant to manage the efficient operation of our storeroom and inventory systems. In this vital role, you will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of food supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and compliance with safety standards. Your expertise in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and materials handling will contribute to seamless operations that support our culinary teams and overall organizational goals. Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming food supplies using Margin Edge
- Organize and maintain storeroom inventory through effective stock control, categorization, and labeling to facilitate quick retrieval and accurate tracking.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock based on demand planning, sales forecasts, and inventory analytics.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits utilizing data visualization tools
- Manage shipping & receiving processes including order fulfillment, materials handling, heavy lifting, and logistics coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
- Implement process improvements to optimize stocking procedures, reduce waste, and enhance overall warehouse efficiency through supply chain analytics.
- Collaborate with supplier management teams on sourcing negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance evaluations to ensure quality standards are met.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or materials handling within a food service or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including demand planning, procurement, logistics, and category management.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize data analysis skills for insights into inventory trends and process optimization.
- Familiarity with Margin Edge
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on stock discrepancies or process inefficiencies using data analytics techniques.
