Pearlstone, a dynamic non-profit retreat and conference center in Reisterstown, MD, is seeking a full-time afternoon/evening Retreat Services Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing and supervising the food service staff and the dining room operations, as well as the meeting space operations and maintenance. Some of the many duties of this position are as follows:
Building Management: ensuring that guest's meeting spaces are setup and clean before arrival, breaking down and sanitizing room sets, transporting and setting up large equipment, tables, and AV for groups, assisting with after hours housekeeping needs, maintaining a very high level of guest customer service, etc.
Food Service: setting up and breaking down meal service in our dining spaces, maintaining our high level of food safety and service, managing service and dish washing staff, serving food, basic food prep, cleaning and maintaining dining and food service areas, executing special events indoors and out, etc.
This full-time Retreat Services Manager position is currently 4 nights a week, Monday thru Thursday typically from 2pm-11pm, with occasional weekend work during busy times. This position also fills in for all other managers, as needed for vacations and emergencies. There are also scattered special events and holiday retreats that would require additional hours, but advanced notice will be given.

Successful candidates will have a BACKGROUND IN HOTEL, RESTAURANT, OR CONVENTION MANAGEMENT, as well as a very strong work ethic and drive to excel at customer service. You must be a team player, have 5 years supervisory experience in the HOSPITALITY field, have reliable transportation, a clean driving record, be able to lift/push/pull 50lbs and team lift 100lbs.
