Ten Five Hospitality is excited to announce the launch of a new restaurant and lounge concept in Georgetown. We are seeking dynamic, experienced professionals to join our team as we create an elevated dining experience. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in fine dining service & a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
Position Summary
Our dishwashers are a vital part of our team. They are responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, glassware, and pots are clean and sanitized.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Load, operate, and unload the dish machine according to proper procedures.
- Monitor water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycles.
- Follow sanitation guidelines set forth by the Health Department.
- Follow weekly cleaning schedule to maintain the standard of the restaurant.
- Keep the dish room clean and organized.
- Remove trash and recycling and transport to designated areas.
- Communicate with Chefs and Management about any maintenance concerns.
- Clean all restroom facilities and other assigned areas before the restaurant is open to the public.
- Sweep and mop floors, wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and all other surface areas.
- Stock food, beverages and supplies as directed by the Chef.
- Proper handling of food.
- Ensure clean items are properly sorted, stored, and returned to service areas in a timely manner.
- Support kitchen staff with basic prep, storage, labeling, and organization when needed.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; restock tools and supplies for the next shift.
- Maintain temperature logs; keep walk-in cooler/freezer organized.
- All other duties assigned.
Physical Requirements
- May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment, including, but not limited to, cutlery used in the cutting of fruit for garnishes.
