The Capital Candy Jar is Washington DC’s hometown candy company. For more than 13 years we’ve been making handcrafted candy in our Capitol Hill East shop and serving customers across the city.
During baseball season, we operate a concession stand at Nationals Park, serving thousands of fans each game. We are currently hiring a reliable, energetic team member to join our game-day crew for the upcoming season.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, and being part of the excitement of live sports and events.
Typical shifts are about 6 hours during Nationals home games, concerts, and special events may have longer shifts.
What You’ll Do
- Ring up customer transactions using our POS register
- Prepare and package our fresh warm candied nuts
- Sell beverages including beer and other alcoholic drinks
- Restock products and maintain inventory levels during events
- Keep the stand organized and operating efficiently during busy game crowds
- Provide friendly, upbeat service to Nationals fans and stadium guests
What We’re Looking For
- 21+ years old (required for alcohol sales)
- Dependable and able to work a consistent shift schedule from April through October
- Comfortable working in a busy stadium environment with high customer volume
- Able to lift at least 30 lbs
- Able to stand for the full shift (approximately 6 hours)
- Food safety or food service experience is a plus, but not required
