Polaris Freightways seeks safety-focused Class A CDL drivers (CDL-A) for full-time regional positions operating primarily east of the Mississippi River. Routes concentrate in the Southeast, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic and prioritize consistent miles and predictable home time. Freight is predominantly drop-and-hook and no-touch dry van to support efficient regional operations and reliable schedules.
Primary responsibilities
- Operate assigned tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT regulations, company procedures, and applicable traffic laws.
- Perform and document daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; complete driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Comply with electronic logging device (ELD) procedures and maintain accurate trip records, logs, and required documentation.
- Execute cargo securement and assist with loading/unloading when required, ensuring freight integrity for no-touch and drop-and-hook shipments.
- Communicate professionally and proactively with dispatch and support teams regarding schedules, route changes, and operational issues.
- Adhere to DOT hours-of-service rules and contribute to a safety-first culture on all regional routes.
Training and career development
- Paid orientation and instructor-led training, including behind-the-wheel mentorship for new and entry-level drivers.
- Fast-track onboarding for experienced drivers to expedite placement on active regional routes.

Compensation and benefits
- Weekly pay target: $1,400–$1,800 average gross (Direct Deposit); guaranteed minimum and pay protection programs available.

Minimum qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A).
- Minimum age: 21 years (required for interstate operation).
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
- Trainees: Certificate of completion from an accredited CDL program with a minimum of 120 hours of instruction.
- Experienced drivers: Six months or more of verifiable tractor-trailer experience preferred for accelerated placement and eligibility for higher pay tiers.
