Material Handler
Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our Government Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily processing, storage, and retrieval of clinical specimens and medical materials, ensuring 100% accuracy in inventory tracking while maintaining an active T1 Investigation clearance.
What You’ll Do In this role, you will:
- Manage Specimen Logistics: Assist with the preparation, processing, and storage of microscopic slides, paraffin blocks, and tissues, ensuring timely preservation and movement of all materials.
- Maintain Inventory Integrity: Utilize supply automation systems and office software to sort, file, and track materials for requesters, while participating in regular audits to identify and rectify missing items.
- Support Warehouse Operations: Transport case materials, manage shipments, and optimize storage space efficiency, while ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and the disposal/accountability of excess materials.
What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or medical/clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and numbering systems sufficient to identify products used in a hospital environment.
- Proven ability to use procurement procedures and office software to manage database information and implement quality control policies.
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
- Active T1 Investigation clearance.
What We Offer
- Salary details: $18.50/hr
- Eligible for SCA Pay of up to an additional $5.09/hr (if benefits are declined)
