Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong background in retail sales. This role involves engaging with customers, providing product demonstrations, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. The Sales Associate will be responsible for maintaining the sales floor, managing inventory, and contributing to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits effectively.
Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering duties.
Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
Implement upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales revenue.
Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support on best practices in customer service.
Maintain a clean and organized sales floor while adhering to retail math principles for inventory management.
Communicate effectively with customers over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Assist in managing inventory levels and reporting discrepancies as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers; bilingual candidates are a plus.
Basic math skills required for cash handling and retail math applications.
Familiarity with POS systems and merchandising strategies is advantageous.
Experience in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory is desirable.
A commitment to providing outstanding customer service in a grocery store or retail environment is essential.
