Overview
We are seeking dedicated Local CDL Class A Truck Driver specializing in Data Center Operations to join our team. This role involves transporting data center equipment and materials efficiently and safely within local routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with various types of freight, and a commitment to safety and reliability. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailer trucks with manual transmission for local deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Manage the secure transport of freight, ensuring proper load distribution and adherence to safety protocols.
- Execute route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after trips.
- Document delivery details accurately, including delivery receipts, logs, and reports.
- Assist with the setup or removal of cargo at data center sites, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Follow all safety procedures related to transporting sensitive or heavy equipment for data center operations.
Experience
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor trailor vehicles.
- Prior experience in delivery driver roles involving load & unload responsibilities and route driving is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to operating large commercial vehicles, including forklift operation and handling specialized equipment like dump trucks or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks associated with freight handling and vehicle inspections.
