Assistant General Manager – Marco’s Pizza
We’re looking for an experienced, dependable, and driven Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations at our Marco’s Pizza location. This is a full-time leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and wants to grow with a company that rewards hard work, loyalty, and results.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Weekly Salary: Up to $900/week depending on experience
- Hours: 50–55 hours/week
- Schedule: Tuesday through Sunday (OFF: Monday)
Weekends are mandatory, and the AGM is expected to be on call in the event of employee call-outs where coverage cannot be filled. The AGM should also be capable of running a full $800 day solo once fully trained.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and training for all team members
- Manage scheduling, time-off requests, and shift coverage
- Create a positive, motivated, and accountable work environment
- Provide hands-on coaching and leadership, including conflict resolution
Customer Experience
- Set and model a customer-first culture
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Ensure every customer receives a warm, welcoming, and satisfying experience
Operations & Execution
- Oversee all store operations, including food quality, cleanliness, and compliance
- Ensure team adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify and correct issues
- Be prepared to work solo shifts during staffing shortages or emergencies
Financial & Inventory Management
- Monitor sales, labor, food costs, and other KPIs to meet performance goals
- Order and manage inventory through the MOMs system, ensuring minimal waste
- Submit accurate purchase receipts and partner with Accounting on issue resolution
- Handle cash deposits, bank runs, and safe reconciliation
Community & Third-Party Coordination
- Act as point of contact for school programs, local events, and delivery platforms (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, ezCater, Grubhub)
- Ensure accurate, timely order management and professional communication
Training & Development
- Ensure completion of all Expand Share training modules
- Roll out new procedures and track execution
- Mentor team members and support their growth and development
Team Communication & Meetings
- Lead weekly staff huddles and participate in leadership check-ins
- Collaborate with ownership on store strategy and goals
- Keep the team informed and aligned with clear, consistent communication
Uniform & Store Standards
- Enforce uniform policy and appearance standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and brand-compliant store environment inside and out
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need pizza experience — just strong leadership skills, common sense, and a willingness to learn. Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous experience managing teams in food service, retail, or similar environments
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- A hands-on, “lead by example” mentality
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- A strong work ethic and passion for delivering exceptional customer service
