Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive bartending experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the bartending team to ensure efficient service during shifts
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes and presentation standards
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and place orders as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with health regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing concerns promptly
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
- Train new staff on beverage preparation, food safety, responsible alcohol service, and POS operation
- Ensure compliance with all licensing laws and company policies
- Assist in developing beverage menus and promotions to enhance sales
- Handle guest inquiries professionally and resolve issues efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender with a strong knowledge of food handling, serving, and beverage preparation techniques
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality settings such as fine dining, nightclub, banquet, or food service environments
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with retail math and cash handling is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong time management skills to oversee bar operations during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality industry schedule
- Experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions
- Exceptional communication skills and a professional demeanor
