Specialized Engineering is growing and has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant to join our team!

Since 1992, Specialized Engineering has provided engineering consulting and inspection services for projects in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Primary Responsibility Include:

Assist with department research and gathering of information through outside resources.
Support with coordinating document submissions to meet required deadlines.
Update and maintain database with project details.
Assist with client communication while maintaining professional and polite business correspondence.
Ability to work until 5:00 p.m. Start time and lunch break can be flexible. If they prefer an eight‑hour day, they may choose their start time and whether to take a one‑hour lunch.
The new assistant will be provided with a desktop computer.

Successful Candidates Will:

Possess outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Exhibit strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and multitask in both individual and team environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
High school diploma/GED required.
Previous office experience is a plus.

Specialized Engineering is a drug free workplace with a pre-employment drug screen and background check required for potential employees.
