JB Contracting, Inc. (JBCI) is a General Contractor certified 8(a) Disadvantaged Small Business that provides construction services to commercial and governmental entities in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. JBCI specializes in facilities maintenance, including renovations, alterations, repairs, and finishes.

JBCI is looking for a dependable Operations Assistant with 1 - 3 years of experience. The Operations Assistant will provide administrative support to the construction staff. Must be dependable, meticulous, and organized. Salary range is from $55,000 to $60,000. Work schedule to be Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

Responsibilities:

Develop meeting agendas, attend client meetings, and produce meeting minutes
Schedule site visits and maintain bidding calendar
Participate in pre-bid meetings and prepare bid documents for submission
Reach out to subcontractors and vendors for quotes
Search online databases for local and federal job opportunities
Assist Project Managers with various tasks such as preparing submittals, ordering materials, conducting field measurements, and performing additional administrative duties
Assist with the maintenance of the website by uploading new project photos and writing descriptions, when necessary.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Extremely detailed-oriented and self-motivated
Professional attitude and appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Dependable transportation as some pre-bid meetings are in different locations in throughout the DMV. Mileage is reimbursed.
