Line Cook / Prep Cook – Catering Kitchen

Nafasi Catering is hiring a Line Cook to support our busy catering kitchen and on-site events. This role is ideal for an experienced line cook, prep cook, or kitchen professional who enjoys variety, teamwork, and high-quality food production.
If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced BOH (back-of-house) environment, we want to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and production schedules
- Assist with catering prep, service, and event execution
- Perform daily food prep, batch cooking, and plating
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards
- Properly use kitchen equipment and knives
- Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Kitchen Cook
- Catering, banquet, or high-volume kitchen experience preferred
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation (ServSafe a plus)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and event days as needed
