Job Summary:

Elevate your career as a Banquet Captain with our team at First Class Workforce Solutions, overseeing flawless execution in events and banquets. We seek individuals with strong customer service skills, recent experience, and extensive knowledge of banquet operations. Events are typically Metro accessible and in the DC city limits. Uniform is black button-down dress shirt, black tie, black slacks and non-slip shoes. We are busy and have work available during these off-season months. But you MUST have verifiable work experience as a Banquet Captain.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate and supervise banquet events, ensuring smooth execution.

· Lead and direct banquet staff to provide exceptional service.

· Set up and arrange banquet facilities according to event specifications.

· Oversee and assist with the serving of meals, beverages, and catering details.

· Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

· Maintain a professional and organized banquet environment.

· Ensure work attire and appearance of all team members are clean and professional.

· Collaborate with event planners and kitchen staff for seamless coordination.

· Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

· Train and mentor banquet staff for optimal performance.

· Manage inventory and equipment for banquet operations.

· Always follow food service sanitation regulations along with health and safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand and move for 8-hour shifts, lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

· Ability to carry and balance serving trays with dinners.

· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

· Excellent stamina and agility to navigate crowded and fast-paced environments.

Hiring Essentials:

· Proven experience as a Banquet Captain required.

· Strong customer service and communication skills.

· Knowledge of banquet service procedures and etiquette.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

· Excellent Critical thinking and Leadership skills.

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Must have reliable and consistent transportation.

· Must be eligible to work in the United States.

· Must be willing to submit to a Drug Test and Criminal Background Check.
