This role is crucial to our operation. You are the gatekeeper to a memorable evening, setting the tone from the moment guests arrive. If you are gracious under pressure, love the buzz of a busy night, and have a knack for making every guest feel special, we want you on our team.
What You'll Do:
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests with a professional and inviting demeanor.
- Expertly manage reservations, walk-ins, and the waiting list using OpenTable.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth seating and optimal table turnover.
- Answer incoming phone calls and manage general inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entry area.
- Communicate effectively with servers and management regarding guest flow and special requests.
- Handle guest concerns with poise and proactively seek solutions.
Who You Are (Requirements):
- Must have proven experience as a hostess in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant or bar.
- Must be proficient in OpenTable or similar reservation software.
- Exceptional guest-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be available to work Friday and Saturday nights, including late hours (until close at 2 AM).
- Possesses a great, easy-to-work-with character and a positive team-player attitude.
- Organized, punctual, and eager to learn and grow within our concept.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain grace under pressure.
