We are looking for an experienced bartender to join our small bar-team. The bar is consistently busy while maintaining extraordinary standards in both service and cocktail creation. Happy hour every day from 4-6:30, Fri-Sun there is literally a line waiting for us to open (the bar will fill up 20 seats in under 2 minutes). After happy hour, usually a full wave of complete dinner service at the bar followed by a usual wave of later night cocktails and such...again, very consistent. Below are some components of the job that would be good to know. We are always learning and supporting each others' growth in food and wine knowledge, so you will definitely get a lot of training; having said that, we are requiring an already extensive knowledge of food and wine to begin with.
Job Components
- Over 200 whiskeys ranging from $8-$350
- Over 9000 bottles of wine ranging from $45-$5600
- 12 Specialty Cocktails (many are batched), 6 drafts, 21 wines BTG
- Upscale personal attire of your choice for unform
- Fast-paced, you without-a-doubt have to be a hard worker
- Full dinner service at the bar, meaning full understanding of all food components and service standards
- High attention to detail
- Every bit of glassware is polished (mostly by someone else but not always)
- Large, perfectly-clear ice program
- 3-5 shifts per week
- Opener shift is usually 1-8:30, mid is 3-10. close is 5-12 (7 days a week)
- Full-time barback doing all fresh juice squeezing, garnish prep, and deep cleaning
- Bar-team of 5-7 experienced professionals
- Open 7 days a week, 4pm daily; closing at 10pm Sun-Thurs and 11pm Fri/Sat
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is interested in working hard and having fun. We are looking for someone who:
- 2 years of similar-level bartending or 5+years of bartending in a more casual setting (required), 5-10 years previous restaurant experience (recommended)
